    Great looking sword and scabbard with A+quality

    After reading the reviews I was hesitant to buy this for a part of my Roman soldier costume but after receiving it I was blown away by how nice it is. The look and feel plus the quality of the sward and the scabbard. If you are looking for a $200 dollar sword then buy a $200 sword but in my opinion your not going to find a better one for $30 than this one. AAA+++

    order 2, one that was knowingly damaged on sheath and another new one. Fit to broken one was easy. These swords are great and respectively sharpe. Sheath is partly made of placative and can be broken easily. Sword is a beautiful work of art. Well made and easy to handle

    After buying more swords for gifts I was running out of ones to buy him, then I found this one. It’s well made, heavier then a lot I’ve gotten of similar size. Blade is thick enough for him to go.out and chop his milk jugs!. Great Christmas Gift

  13. Cracked Scabbard

    First and foremost, you have a very impressive site with more than impressive merchandise. I know I should’ve written this sooner but memory is not one of my strong suite’s as of late. I purchased a Centurion’s Scabbard w/sword. The problem is the scabbard; it’s broken where the molding meets with the actual scabbard. Anything you can do to help would be great. Thanks and Happy New Year.

  14. Good bang for your buck

    You get what you pay for, lots of it is made of plastic, but it has some good weight to it, and would make an excellent choice for a costume or for display. I’m sure you could put a good edge on it if you wanted to.

  24. Very low quality

    After a half dozen times of unsheathing the sword it doesn’t go back in all the way. The blade is a good quality metal and the engraving is nice but the edge was dulled in a way that you can feel the waves the grinder put into the metal. Sorry but I expected better for my money.

    The sword is amazing. The sheath…not so much.

    The sword is beautiful. A great value. The craftsmanship is beautiful. The sheath is plastic and cheap. It’s surprising that such a beautiful sword is sent with a sheath that looks like something that would come with a cheap plastic child’s toy.

    Display only

    Beautiful detail, great weight. However, metal on blade had small scratches and the chain link snapped within a minute of unpacking ( was purchased to be worn with costume). Oh it makes the most awful squeal when you unsheath it. If you want something pretty just to open, gingerly sit on a shelf, and look at then it is for you.

    Don’t do it…

    This sword was a major disappointment. I bought it for a simple costume piece for Renaissance Faires so no real intended heavy use. The scabbard is cheap plastic with the ornamental pieces being glued on. The hanging chain can’t withstand the weight of the sword either and broke almost immediately.Basically…don’t buy it. There’s a reason the price is as low as it is.

  47. Just a prop.

    This is a beautiful replica to look at, don’t even try to swing it. Just pulling out of the scabard and the handle feels like it will break. “Rat-tail” construction. Just a 1/4″ ready rod welded to the blade, so it can barely carry the weight of the blade. Everything is put together with carnival type of workmanship.

    My dad always wanted a sword like this and when i suprised him with it he was visibly as happy as a 2 year old on christmas when he opened it

  49. Broken handle, basically no tang, fixable though

    Glad I got this on a sale for only $35 because it’s really not worth much more than that. Seriously, don’t spend more than that on this sword at all, plastic handle pieces that are hollow around what looks like a 14g rod as a makeshift tang.I know it’s a display sword but the amount of plastic on this thing is unacceptable. Also cheap and brittle plastic.With a little effort you can make a nice handle and sheathe for it

    Nice trophy sword

    It’s a very nice gladius style sword, appears to be well made. It’s not sharpened but it’s not a hard process. Can’t beat it for $45.00. The description says it’s black but it’s actually brown. Still, it’s a pretty cool piece.

    Roman emperor costume

    Very realistic and seemingly good quality. I didn’t expect the Celtic designs on it. But they’re small enough to not notice far away so, it was perfect for a Roman emperor costume. The belt chain broke the second we put it on the belt because the sword is too heavy for the cheap chain.

    This is by far the best product I’ve gotten for replicas

    Is this item undervalued? I’d like to say no, but it’s pretty close. This is one of those items that I was expecting to be the runt of the replicas and honestly takes the cake. Buy it while the retail is good.

    Great sword needed more pictures

    So this is a blunt full weight display gladius. The quality is great on the blade for the price the only thing that is bad is the chain frog you are going to want to get string or leather as I’ve used to redo it. I kept the chain for decor but it will break. The scabbard is made of decent plastic with a matte rough paint but it’s nitpicking considering the super low price for a gladius. The taper on one side is slightly off and the engravings are much more visible in person. The blade weighs roughly 5 pounds when drawn. It is not full tang but it’s a display sword so be gentle with it and it’ll look good on a wall or just to look at. I would definitely recommend this sword to anyone looking to get into swords and is unsure where to start. The gladius has a long history that is interesting to learn about and is even cooler to see in your own hands.

    Sword okay, scabbard is crap

    The sword itself is fine. Looks nice and seems solid and has good weight to it. However, upon opening the package and taking it out, the scabbard completely fell into two separate pieces. It is cheap plastic that is somehow held together at the middle by an ornamental piece which no longer is holding it together. I won’t return because I didn’t plan on displaying the scabbard anyway, but wanted to make it clear that it was cheap and broken.

    The sword is beautiful as I examined it I didn’t find any major flaws and I did use some martial art techniques with the sword it didn’t fall apart it is a display piece.You want a hacking knife get machete or Bowie.This is wonderful show piece. You want sword as weapon get a samurai sword and good ones goes into the thousands. To the seller very pleased with this purchase. As I said it’s a great show piece.One thing the box the sword comes in could be a stronger cardboard the packing from Amazon is excellent. I may purchase another.

    This is NOT BLACK.

    Need to change the description of this. It is definitely not black! Was pretty upset about that since I got it to match my black armor and it’s clearly brown! Other than that it looks incredible but yeah, it’s brown!!
